Your reasons for leaving those guilds: Still a social member of Demersal I migrated all my characters to this realm and unfortunately due to a number of factors things have not worked out as well as I had hoped. (I am happy to discuss this in private) I left Belan Shi due to the GM disbanding the guild due to time constraints outside WoW he no longer had a passion for the game.

Your reasons for wanting to join us: I much prefer 10 man raiding than the sometimes chaos of 25 man. Also I like the idea of being in a set team with the same people and becoming a solid team.

As you can see my gear is lacking at the moment, due to me be bounced between balance and resto with Demersal I have saved up quote a few Emblems to purchase the relevant gear.

Why you want to join PL and what will you bring to the guild: I want to have a social enviroment to play and nice premades to join to spank some destros. I am quite adequet player who knows my class function and mechanics. I am quite good ad situational assesment. Mostly I consider myself not a leader type who is happy to follow orders (as long as they are rational). I am not the most social person, but can get alon with all sorts of people.

Previous guilds and why you left them: Semper Dius was my primary guild in Warhammer Online. Their prominence in WAR began to reduce upon the run up to Aion�s launch. Subsequently many of the members left for greener pastures and are now on Karak Azgal as Destruction. I reduced my play time, and remained guildless for some time, before taking a break from WAR and playing Guild Wars instead. I�ve not really had any other major Guild memberships since leaving Semper Dius.

Why you want to join PL and what will you bring to the guild: I want to join PL as I am at the stage now where I have time to spend within WAR, and am seeking a well organised group of individuals that have fun. I will bring a maturity, and a wealth of experience. Contrary to my Realm Rank, I have been playing WAR for a long time, as well as other MMOs. I have been playing MMO�s for over 10 years, having started my �career� in Ultima Online (56k Modems; what a joy). I moved onto DAoC where I had a Shadowblade (or ShadowZerker at the time!) before leaving to play Neocron.

Neocron still remains my favourite MMO of all time, although the expansion pack was the nail in the coffin and the wakeup call I needed. Neocron is a highly skilled, twitch based futuristic MMO with an emphasis on territorial control (all PVP). I was the leader of the largest, most profitable Clan on the server (The Black Cartel). I subsequently left Neocron after its expansion pack to play World of Warcraft (from its day of release) until the release of its first expansion pack. I simply fell foul of chasing gear constantly and subsequently began to play Guild Wars.

I specialised with the Mesmer class (my favourite in any MMO) and levelled her entirely through PVE. I was part of an American Guild called Hammer of Thor, which were ranked 25th competitively (PVP). The time zone difference was eventually the cause of me leaving. I am unsure if they are still in existence. My Mesmer is now part of a small guild of old friends.

Finally, I began to play Warhammer Online when closed BETA first began. Despite playing almost every class, and levelling my Shadow Warrior throughout BETA to level 40 multiple times, I have played almost every class. I managed to secure over 15 closed BETA places for friends and family through my efforts in game, and out of game (competitions, feedback etc) and still retain several exclusive incredibly rare, ingame items as a result. *I have a level 30 Warrior Priest and level 30 Bright Wizard. I have played neither for a long time.

My primary emphasis throughout my MMO history is to PVP. I�m an incredibly competitive person, and a firm believer in personal skill as opposed to chasing gear. My biggest pet hate is those who look down on others, simply for not *being as well �geared�. I enjoy partaking in any PVE.

To clarify my low RR, I simply did not have a good enough computer upon WAR�s release to part-take in scenarios or open world RVR and so busied myself with alts or played Guild Wars. I currently have 4 pieces of Warlord in my bags awaiting me to level my RR to use them :o)

So Andy has been on the forums doing a Q&A session, this is the basic summary made by pandemic that I have copied and pasted:

3 types of rvr pack - power, progression and personality. This pack will be very different to LOTD in that it is fully RvR focussed.
Purchased via multiple purchase options - my guess is each costs x, buy all 3 and get a discount off the cost of 3x.

Release date: Unknown. This was originally as before Christmas but latest info is no promises on that.

Personality

This allows cosmetic changes (cutomisable pets, new mounts etc) allowing you to look more 'unique'.
New mount outfits are not to be included

Progression

This allows Realm Abilities redesign. You will be able to ignore the renown point requirements so you dont have to put 40 point to get to the next level)
This also will change the bonuses your RR's give you for passsives example at rr65 the AP bonus might be different.
New Renown Abilities (not just passives)
RR 81 - 100

Power

New armour sets (at least 1 per race; there could be as many as 2). These might be in 'offensive' and 'defensive' sets just like sovereign
New Weapons
New Equipment

Additonally:

At least 1 new RvR zone. (see Skaven)
Skaven
- This first new RvR zone will be skaven themed - think lots of tunnels / an underground vast dungeon!
- Zone isn't seperated from the campaign. Unlike LOTD this is promised to be a full RvR zone.
- You dont need to buy the new RvR pack to get into the new skaven zone; however alot of the zone content wont be available to you unless you do buy it, I think this refers to among other things the new equipment (loot).
- Can play as skaven in some form of PvP. However the skaven will not be playable in PvE.
- In order to play as skaven there is something you need to do to unlock. (I doubt this will be time consuming or hard as they will want to allow players to quickly play as the skaven).
- Skaven are not being done as a fully playable race but as something 'unique'. You will not be able to play as a rank 1 skaven and neither will there be 4 classes to choose from like other races.
- Skaven will apparently level differently to other races.
- Skaven will be in effect the very early beginnings of a third faction. They will be open to both sides to play and will be against both order and destruction. (This doesnt mean they will ever be a fully playable third faction as we all want to see it but its a start.)
- It might be that the Skaven are not just in this new zone but popup all over the place (an infestation was mentioned)
- It seems to have been denied that skaven will only be 'monster play' although this appears to be under some debate with players.
- Warpstone will be implemented somehow
- Definetly not an NPC Race
Can change name (this might cost actual real money to do)
Can transfer server (this might cost actual real money to do)
Campaign redesign.
- No VP or timelocks anymore for zone captures. There will much a much more clearer 'objective'.
- City Sieges will occur less often
Getting to RR80 will be easier. It was previously mentioned as making the 'curve' flatter but instead it now seems they will use renown boosting buffs. However it is done it will be easier.
Getting Annihilator, Conquerer, Invader, Warlord, Sovereign will be easier
When changes to crafting got mentioned 'no comment' was the response. This might mean there are crafting changes or it might not
Some Siege weapons are to be improved
Sieges in general will be more fun and not just breaking down doors
Renown will NOT be applied retroactively

So its all shaping up to be a bit more than what was first 'leaked'.

Note:
Contary to rumour there will not be a cash shop offering armour sets for real cash.

Some other things on their way possibly not related to the RvR pack:

Pug vs premade issues are finally going to be looked at. However this does not mean we will get a change but at least its now being looked into - scenario match making has been mentioned.
No plans atm for a Tier 5
What you can buy with your currency is to be expanded beyond just the weapons

I havent played since erm some time after Burning Crusade. Whats changed that would make me come back?

Ive played a few other MMO's since but nothing has ever really made me stay. I was hoping Warhammer Online would have kept me but eventually got bored after the zerg v zerg mentality in the RvR areas. After that it seemed that the number of players on the server dopped and the world never really came alive.

So with WOW's new expansion on the horizon im getting intregued again. Although i probably wont be playing my orc warrior and instead take up a Death Knight or a healer (Druid probably) depending on how much leveling i can face.

So really how is the PvP and how are the instances. Does PL still have a good raiding presense?

I'm a fairly straightforward guy, i seek to optimize and keep a focussed mind while raiding. Generally I'm optimistic of nature and as a Dane i have a heavy use of non-offending sarcasm in my chat - now you are warned :-P - I'm eager to help with advice should someone ask - i consider myself pretty adept in the ways of the 3 classes i play from being around since launch. Got a decent understanding of gamemechanics and tend to resort to Elitist Jerks-forums for further optimizing my level of play every now and then.
In private I'm an Electrician - been working with Fiberoptic cabling and installation alongside engineers for 7 years now. Living with my gf.

Flying Mounts on the way

And here we thought EverQuest was the only Sony Online Entertainment game getting an expansion this week. While EverQuest 2 still has a long way to go before hitting the big 1-7, the release of Destiny of Velious in February 2011 brings it up to a total of 7 expansion packs.
Here's the list of new stuff:

Flying mounts
300+ new quests
10 instanced dungeons
Four heritage quests
One contested dungeon (factions fight for control of it)
Two overland zones
Six raid instances
New Battlegrounds for player versus player gameplay
New signature quest line
30+ new creatures
New weapons, items, and armor sets

Aside from that list, Destiny of Velious also bundles the previous six expansions and three adventure packs together. No retail price exists for Velious yet, but we're wondering if that ups the total cost (no comment from SOE at this time). Look for it February 11, 2011.

Flying mounts will be introduced: we saw a griffon and something dragonish, and were told the first one is quested. The existing cloud and carpet mounts will not be changed to "real" flying mounts.
