A new player, some questions

hello all
i am a eq2 player who is in the phoenix legion as the raid officer i have just bought WOW and am looking to create a tauren fighter, is this a good combination?
also what server do i need to be on if i want to join the legion?
another thing in the eq2 side of the guild we have a good website, do you have one for wow?

Hi Waychh,

PL is on two servers in WoW, depending on the playstyle you prefer.

PvP Server = Kor'gall
PvE Server = Draenor

Basically the difference is that on a pvp server, if you are exping in a contested area, and you stumble over a player of the opposing faction you can kill them. A PvE server you would need to make a conscious decision to turn on your PVP flag or solely fight in the BGs.

PL is still PL, on either. Hope you enjoy wow, and welcome!

Can't speak for the PVE side but the PvP side has around 350 chars, and are just starting to raid the high end, high level instances :)

thers about 320 is characters on pve side as well, and wer just getting geared up for the end instances aswell

ah this is good to hear, ill go for the pve server i think, who do i need to contact when i get there about a possible invite to guild??
sorry to be a noob, what is the e bit in pve? (you wouldnt think i have been playing for a year on eq2)

Player Versus Environment

Welcome to the WoW boards Waychh :)

I'm the recruitment officer for PL PvE on Draenor server. We are just gearing up for the very high end instances, although we are a bit behind the PvP guild in that respect.

Mind you, if you're just starting out in WoW, you're not going to need to worry about that for at least a couple of months,unless you're a levelling fiend :)

thanks for the warm welcome and help all, there were other guilds that wanted me in eq2 but im a PL MAN through and through though. would i be able to join the guild at a low lvl? or do i have to reach a certain lvl?
on a sadder note PL on eq2 guild seems to be on the slide abit which contributed to my reason leaving for a while.

No level requirement on the PvE server, but you might get a bit of teasing if you've made a hunter :)

Oh! Make sure you choose the HORDE faction... or we'll have to kill you instead of guilding you :)

And sorry to hear about PL EQ2, hope they manage to recover :boggled:

I love my Tauren warrior, so good choice if you'd ask me!
Having said so, i do enjoy most classes, just too lazy to level another 1 p to 60. Welcome again, hope you'll enjoy yr new home in here :)

Nothing at all wrong with hunters, it just seems that I'm recruiting little else these days. We have LOTS of hunters in PL PvE :)

Hey Waychh! Nice to see you trying out WoW! :)

YOu might need to pick a few classes and try them out before settling; I tried a Shaman first, but then fell in love with my Rogue. Also got a Mage and baby Warlock on the go, but Rogue is so much fun imo.

The levelling's fairly fast, (esp compared to later lvls in eq2!) I'm up to 34 already, although I have been playing rather too much! /blush

Aye leveling to 20 is very fast. At 20 you can start to get a good feeling for a class, I would try several...unless you are short on time or find you are leveling slowly.

hunter's do rock, but am a rogue and they ROCK :P. I made a new Shaman there easy and fun to play :P
