Ipod Help

I just purchased an Ipod after my creative mp3 had a hard disk failure. Now for the last few year people have bleating on how great this mp3 is. LIKE HELL IS IT.

I've been trying to install the last firmware 1.0.3 and it's taking a year and a day, .... well several hours. The update is 58 megs, but it's taking ages. I'm no sure if it's suppose to be like this. Anyone else got ipod and done this update?

yep and had no problems at all i love my IPOD

think my ipod is totally up to date and ive never had a single problem with it. maybe you should manually reset it back to the factory settings and start over. think i found out how to do this on the apple site, been a while since i did it so couldnt tell you how.

You do have it connected with USB2 don't you?

no problems with mine ... could it just be that wih the christmas surge in new iPods that apples site is just struggling a little. ?

have you tried resetting the ipod?

that the last thing to do. Since 10:30 this morning been trying to load the firmware. If the reset doesn't do it, it's going back.
