has anyone taken into account the 2 little words that would concern me the most before investing any time into this game?

the most anticipated mmorpg since WoW handled by the giants that kill games in a single blow?

the fact that i shudder everytime i see the EA logo will stop me playing this alone, never mind the warhammer name making me cringe :p

Give over Ack, I am still having therapy sessions for what Turbine did to Dungeons & Dragons:mog:

Never actually played warhammer as I was always a D&D with a bit of Dragonlance thown in sort of person.

Still got a big collection of painted figures and multi shaped dice.

I am however looking forward to War, given what people have told me about the good times they had with DAOC.

So no flaming from me bud as i am to old to be a fanboy:)

EA is just a money making machine. Thats all they care about. So i understand your concerns as i have them too.

But from what i have read Mythic have a very good relationship with EA, and by that i mean Mythic are in control (mostly). Meaning that if Mythic are not 100% happy with something EA want then EA will have too rethink the thing they want.

The thing i am scared about is customer care. EA is not known for it it's amazing customers care and this could hurt us a lot when our games get a few errors.

What i do like is EA's need to use it's own resources, and they have a lot of money to spend and the will to spent it to make sure they have the best gear.

In short: The game should have lots of support from Mythic while using EA's very good servers but if you ever get problems getting into the game don't rely on EA to help you get back in.

Well we get some good news in that in Europe the game and support will be from GOA not EA, so it's GOA support which when we last played was a hell of a lot better than it was at the start of DAoC.

I'm with Ellya on this one they'ed have to go a Very long way to screw up a game better that SOE

putting it in WOW terms take your LvL 70 Chrt and then take every thing out of that Game including most of the classes and professions. give you a choice of 5, lvl 10 classes that you can only play in battlegrounds Welcome too SWG

I'm afraid once WAR is losing interest by the community, they will pull the plug very quickly


Daoc for example is still active after all those years, but i don't see the same happening for WAR
