There are five stages to our recruitment.
APPLICATION
Firstly, the application itself, which must be made on our recruitment board and in our application template format.
An applicant must satisfy the basic requirements of age, ability to speak enough English to understand and be understood, agreeing to our rules and guidelines, and under normal circumstances that they are applying for a class that has an "open" status.
However, there are two further things to consider when we look at an application:
Is the person one we feel would be a loss to the guild if declined?
Is the person is a family member to any existing guildyThis means that an applicant of a class that is currently closed will still be able to join if the application falls under points 1 or 2.
CLASS LEADER INTERVIEW
An applicant getting through the application stage will then be interviewed by their respective class leader, who will determine whether the applicant has a sufficient knowledge of their class at their current level. Also established at this stage is whether the applicant intends to raid, and other class and game-mechanic related issues.
"GATEKEEPER" INTERVIEW
An applicant getting through the class leader interview successfully will be referred for a second, more personality based interview with the "Gatekeeper", who will establish whether the applicant is "right" for PL. The scope of this interview will cover issues such as reasons for wanting to join us, future aspirations, understanding of guild rules etc.
PRE-JOINING INFORMATION
In successful applicants , this will be included in the "Gatekeeper" interview, and will include information regarding the purpose of the class leader, the identity of the GM, forums, raid threads, tabards, alts, trial period etc.
INVITATION
An applicant who successfully negotiates all the previous stages will finally be invited to join the guild, and will be on trial for a period of no less than two weeks (longer in some cases).
