Expect network 'issues' on Wednesday and Thursday (16th and 17th May)

The Halo 3 beta is supposed to be released this week on Wednesday the 16th. A lot of 360 users are obsessive about anything with 'Halo' in the title so expect the net to have a few 'problems' as hundreds of thousands of them try to download the Halo 3 Beta client.

Never underestimate the power of that game :sasmokin:

I expect the UK backbone will slow to a crawl as they all download about 500MB each :34:

I'll be starting mine downloading the Halo beta after dinner. Not that bothered for it, but it's free and I'll have a look.

I find most FPS PvP games boring now - played too many of them for too many years and it means nothing to me now. Started out in DOOM in '93ish and worked my way through pretty much every PC title right up to UT2003 when boredom really set in.

I'd rather play co-op on RB6, GRAW (1 or 2) and GoW these days. :sasmokin:

MMO wise, LOTRO is fulfilling all my needs and is the game I've waited for since I first read the book around 1972

To be honest i'm exactly the same. Co op is more fun than PvP style. But this is Halo. My favorite universe. I always liked the idea of Spartans (the ones from the past not the ones from Halo) so having a sci fi version of them always appealed to me. I read the books and graphic novels too.

Me and my firend tend to buy any game that is half decent and has live Co op modes in them.

Most played xbox game: RB6 co op with me, jay and my scotch/american friend Drake.

Just downloaded it now. and it's sooo gooood. Played only 2 games (need to go to work) but seeing what the guns are now like was nice. the Assault rifle is awesome.

I'll try it out later, in the meantime back to LOTRO with some serious lag issues because it'll be hammering my 2Mb connection (BT Suck - supposed to be 'up to 8Mb', never gets over 2.1 even though they claim I'll get at least 3) :D
