The other day I created another alt to play with 2 RL friends. All 3 of us are mid 30s now and still boys at heart, as most men are.
So the 3 undead baby chars emerged forth and start to lay waste to scary bats, spiders and puppies. Standing with 2 male chars (my rl friends) i get /kiss and lots of /flirt aimed at me. OK so i am a female char mage called Lustful and kind of cute (i should get out more i know!). I dint think anything of it and /flirted back and thinking that both of us were dropping into a little bit of Rp as we all do now and then when getting into the char. Well i left it at that and the 3 of us carried on killing and moving up when I start to get lots of /w asking "Can we be friends?" "Are you boy or girl?" "Do you want any money?" "Can we be friends and I will help you?".
I first I thought awwwww some new player that wants a hand or someone to play with but for the insistent msg of "ARE you BOY or GIRL??????". To me while in game there is no gender, age, sexual preff, race, creed, religion. Just as long as you are a good, honest and fare player you are ok with me.
Now of course i did not tell the person i am a 33 male and straight as i never know when i will want that money, help or items. Oh how weak we men are to the slightest hint of the possibility that we might get a look in.
Posting this as an insight that we are not always what we seem to be. I for one can pull of being female on line as i have been online for so long that i can "Chat" like a girl and notice the diff in word use that a man or woman uses most of the time.
Oh and as far an me saying that i am honest but not telling the person if i am male or female i point you to the bit about "to me is does not matter ....." i never said i was either i just told him that it does not matter in game.
BTW i do tend to dribble on.......
