This flash media is a great primer on all the basic grouping strategies. People who have gone on a few less instance runs, or are not totally sure of their grouping skills should give this a look. The only thing I highly disagree with is the author's placement of Druids as less than good healers.

maybe all us 'less experienced' instancing people need is not a group leader that comes out with loads of crap and abbreviations during the instance, and get a little miffed when they are not understood, but someone who explains things before the instance is entered, especially if they know someone in the group hasn't done the run before.

I certainly agree that things need to be explained properly to people who are new to an instance. I have been victim myself relatively recently of exactly that type of treatment. I was in an instance I was not familiar with at all at the time, and the leader didnt even bother to talk in abreviations actually.

That was pretty handy. Anytime I get a group together though,it just seems to be "okz, atck and stf! lol".. Id love to be in an organised group where people do what their classes are supposed to do!

Ah well.

Thats a pretty neat basic guide.

Quite agree, however , abbreviations will happen. It is possible to outline what will happen in an instance..but impractical to outline each pull in order before entering and what to do on each seperate pull.

typing a complete and comprehensive plan using full naming of mobs and tavtical moves again is possible but slightly impractical.

Each leader will be used to calling a spell as they are used to calling it..got caught out once when a raid leader said "bah left"
he meant in my vernacular "sheep left"..even " poly left" i would have immediately recognised, but him and his guild had allways referred to sheeping as "bah"..as in bah lamb i spose.

I know what your getting at Df..but sometimes its a matter of getting used to it..talk to a none pc type person and gig and meg along with sata hd's has zero meaning whatsoever.

If all people read simple to understand guides like this, we wouldnt encounter incompetent PUG's so often.
