View Full Version : XBox 360 Live Gamertags in PL?
I've got my gold Live membership sorted now, so I was wondering if any other PL have a 360 and Live account. I don't just want to add random people to my friends list so I don't look like such a loner :cool2:
rabin2005 is mine (same as my XFire)
I only have 1 game so far, and that's Lara :sasmokin: but I'm trying demos to pick a couple more. Test Drive Unlimited looks good, Dead Rising makes me laugh and squeal with joy and N3 (Ninety-Nine Nights) is a great killfest. There was a compo to get a really high score in N3 but I don't know how to take a screenshot on XBox 360, if indeed you can *shrugs*
BFME2 was a bit so-so imo and I have lots more demos to try yet :)
Do you guys like your X-box. Reviews were all over the place.
I barely ever play mine, so can't really give an opinion...my live subscription ran out a while back too. No intentions of renewing it given how little I play the console anyway.
I'm very impressed with the 360 so far. I've tried 5 different demos on it and they've all been pretty smooth. The BFME2 was a tad jerky at a couple of points, but I didn't like the game much anyway so no probs there.
Test Drive Unlimited is a silky smooth driving game with very spiffy graphics.
CoD2 was quite realistic, but never having played an FPS on a console before I spent the first 10 minutes getting to grips with a controller rather than a kb/mouse combo. I'm sure I'll improve.
Dead Rising was ZOMG!!! Blood... more blood... zombie killing with scythes, hammers, shotgun, lawnmowers... hehehehe ... oh got to buy that one... oh dear... *wipes tears from eyes*
NFS: Carbon - tasty, fast and great fun with your team mate commenting on your successes and failures during the race. (I don't normally play driving games, but this console is making a convert of me.)
I'm downloading GRAW now, and considering playing Oblivion on it where it apparently runs better than on a PC.
The system is a joy to use once you know how it does things, it's like a really fast gaming PC that the games don't lag on :dazzler1:
Horses for courses I suppose, but I'm loving it.
NFS: Most Wanted is likely the better play imo based on the demo ..

I think the kids already have that one and played it to death on PS2, so I can't really justify the moolah to buy the same game twice. I'll try the demo though as I'm new to driving games (other than Auto Assault anyway) :)

Peer xbox 360 is a great console, it has some great software and beter on its way and some superb things happening next year like cross platform [360/pc] mmorg games like two worlds & marvel online.
ive decided that im going to buy a 360 instead of getting a new pc and hoping that age of conan comes out on 360, so ill let you guys know what my tag is when i get it set up, ill definitely get gears of war and oblivion first
Quite a few games seem to be slated for a joint Vista/360 release which makes me happy :) no idea on Conan though.
Apparently Vista users will be able to play on Live! along with 360 owners once the OS launches, but I prefer my games without the OS overheads so I'll be sticking to the 360 *grins*
Gears of War is the best shooter I've ever played, and I'm starting to get the hang of the controller now which is a bonus. I hadn't realised how much I'd improved until Kezz tried to play the GoW tutorial yesterday. It was like watching myself 3 weeks ago :34:

yeah they keep saying that they plan on a console launch but won't confirm which console, and 360 seems the most logical choice because of what you said about vista and live playing together

GoW purchased and it'll take a while to get used to the controls but they do seem intuitive, unusual for a console game. :)

Let me know what Blue Dragon is like Indi .. I tried the demo and came across an instant death with no warning which I don't like .. but if the game is any good I'm willing to overlook some poor game design.
Been on Live for about 2 weeks, gamertag should be in my sig. I am always up for Bomberman or Street Fighter over Live Arcade.

You can get a long cable or a second cable and a clip to join them up cheap at a decent electronics store you know :p my wire has to run from my room, hru 2 rooms down the stairs and along another room to the router i use ;)

Sod using long rj-45 cables. Powerline for teh win :)
I'm running Powerline AV, 200Mbs around the house using my power sockets :) I've got a 360, PS3 and a netradio running through mine :)
