My main on Draenor, Mysneaky, got corrupted somehow.

Whenever I log her on, my PC locks up.

I reinstalled the game and it still doesn't work. I can still play alts which were on other servers and I can create new alts on Draenor and play them. I fired off an email to Blizzard support, I'm sure the problem is on their server as otherwise I couldn't play any other alts (plus by uninstalling and reinstalling I wiped any files which were on my PC and refreshed them.

So, fingers crossed. I won't be in guild chat until I've got a new char, Mylock, up to lvl 10.

Sounds like corrupted cachefiles or similar. That's a problem you don't fix by reinstalling.

You should remove your WTF/ WTB folders (or simply rename them) in your world of warcraft folder. I'd give that a shot at least ;)

I second that Zioness, removing the wtf and wdb folders removes corrupted files.

All sorted.

I reinstalled no joy. I removed those 2 folders, no joy. Eventually a GM reset my character and all is well now!!

You should remove your WTF/ WTB folders (or simply rename them) in your world of warcraft folder. I'd give that a shot at least ;)

WTF and WTB folders.. Points to WoW for cool directory names.. ;p
