Off Topic - Bloodbowl

Well idk if any of you are familiar with this old boardgame based on the Warhammer lore by Games workshop.

But i have found a way to play this online with a small java program, it works just like the boardgame in every aspect and very amusing in deed =)

Well i just wanted to know if ppl in PL would be interested in starting a PL legue? if enough players are interested it could be very fun... one game session takes about 30-45 minutes so if you have the time to spare 1-2 times a week we can start making up a game schedual =)

I can host the game and post my mail so ppl can send the match results to me and well... its just about having fun really... me and hjert has played alot and i can send links for all you need.. rulebooks clients team editors and such =)


For those who havent played the game i can try to explain the game briefly.

The game is based on american Football but Warhammerstyle. there are 11 players from each team on the field (as long as you have enough players who are still alive) and its all about killing the oposing players and if you find the time maybe score a touchdown every now and then =)
The game in its own is a turnbased strategy game.

Oo i remember this, my mate used to have it, he also had the game for the Amiga i think it was :) i loved it, and sure i would be interested, also whats the link to the game? and anything else i would need, would setup my own team :)

I'm sure I could find time to play Bloodbowl again. Played it years ago, when it was first released, and again a few months ago when a neighbour found his old copy during a clear out. Very nearly went to get a copy myself and a team to paint up and play with - until I realized I'd never have the time to paint them

To your left you see "download java client" click that... download the standard client and then the 8,9 patch and game is set to go.

in the top midle you see "living rulebook" there you have all the rulebooks as pdf.. i think the client only suport the teams up to 5.0

and for the team editor.. hmm where did i find that... one sec.. *searches*

In the gameclient there is a very very very usefull readme. just use that for any questions you have.. if you dont find your answer there then let me know =)

yeah it will come to PC aswell.. seen a cuple of videos from it... seems to be alot like Speed ball.. an old amiga game... think they remade it for PS1 and then made a crappy atempt for SB2 on pc a cuple of years ago..

but i will deffinatly check it out =)

Now if Mythic had any sense, they'd create a Bloodbowl scenario within each of the Tiers so that people can form teams and jump in to a bit of mayhem. Now that would be cooool!

I still own Bloodbowl second edition and all the books. I loved that game, never painted my skaven team.

Bloodbowl is warhammer realted after all.. plus the ppl that might want to play are the ones loving Warhammer.. so the ones playing war i guess.. thats why i posted it here in the open war forum and named it off topic =)

Why dont u repost on other games forum mate , ask people to sign up with their team name and race and if we get enough people im sure zenith could sort a little forum bit out for us and if it gets runnin players could post results on there

I have seen the new version of this game (at Games Day) due to be relaesed next year as Games Workshop has sold the licence. It is looking very polished and i cant wait for it to be released on PC
