Anyone found a decent thread on how well the Archmage mastery trees work?
Had a search on a few sites, but not found anything useful. Lots of whinging, moaning and "my class is better than your class", but nothing constructive.
Thinking of going full Path of Isha, to max out healing abilities, but never tried it in beta so would like to hear someone else's thoughts.

Found that. Lots of lists and tools but no useful discussion on pros and cons of each mastery tree
Unfortunately it was one of the only classes I didn't try, so all I can offer is that you can't really gimp your character regardless of which line you take, just look at the abilities in each line and decide which you'll use more.
All the abilities are good, they just suit different play styles, if you're wanting to stand back and heal I doubt ya could go wrong with that mastery line - and nobody is going to complain that you're healing them too much ;)
dont know if you have noticed on each mastery tree it tells you what that tree focus's on, ie direct healing aoe healer or healing overtime are the archmage trees.

first heya guys :p
the first tree focus's on healing and doing little dmg the second tree focus's on dealing dmg while you heal less third tree focus's on giving your allies a boost or debuffing your enemies
At present I don't have any conclusive proof that debuffing generates RP's or even Xp ( for pure debuffs without damage component.) which is a little worrying as it doesnt endear itself to actually be used.
Well I researched this due to having an AM ;)
Currently NONE of the healing tactics work as advertised:
35% improvement to Healing Energy (note: it only affects that spell) affects the (tiny) direct heal component.
The morale boost does not work (has no effect)
The crit=50% less AP cost is also not functional :)
Currently I see no point in going beyond 9 in Isha (that spell is definitly a must have for anyone interested in healing though)
Debuffing does NOT give you RP's, however they are quite serious debuffs, and can (with that area increase tactic) hit just about everyone on the battlefield with one cast. The 50% healing debuff is also in that line.
The only thing (imo) going for the damage tree is the flare with the ranged (100 range!!) knockback, nothing like knocking the other sides healers around :)
It really depends on what you prefer. I personally don't see myself having enough time to belt out anything more than an insta, which leads me to the debuff line. Golden Aura in that line will give you quite a lot of damage as well :)

ditto, i have not noticed debuffing generating xp or rp's.
Debuffing does not generate RP's but it makes your healing (Rain) easier, and the opponents die faster (age)
However it is a bit "meh" in the whole "I did xxx to them!" department. Kind of the "unsung hero" thing :P
Doubt they'll ever generate rps, due to their insane area (tactic) and insta recast ability :P
