I was wondering if anyone could recommend a wireless modem/router that works with the wii as I want to play mario kart online with it but am having difficulty with my belkin modem/router.

I have a belkin router, works great with the Wii mate. You can buy LAN adaptors for the Wii from play.com if you're having trouble with the wireless side of things, I recently connected mine up to my LAN as wireless was weak through our huge stone walls in this old flat:

Check your router doesn't have a firmware update available for it, I updated mine recently and it made the world of difference. Previously my internet was disconnecting 5-6 times a day, not disconnected in a week since I updated :)

My Wii plays fine with Sky's router of choice, a Netgear.

I had to manual set an IP address to get my Wii working. I got an old Dlink router though

Changed internet and got a new wirless router, which provided a thomson router. This worked after a bit of fidling and changing it to channel 11.

Thanks for all the advice.

I got mine connected up to a Belkin G+ mimo, works fine no problems. I have been told though that if you use AOL as an ISP you can get problems connecting. Not 100% on this, just what the guy told me in the Game stroe when I bought the Wii.
