» Important! - Problems with new forum registrations |
|
May 26, 2009 - 3:57 PM - by Zenith
|
It appears we currently have quite a problem with new account registrations and hotmail. The reason for this I'm not too sure about yet, but I'd hazard a guess that the problem is at hotmail's end.
Until this problem is resolved, can new users please avoid using hotmail (or any other of the MS domains - live.co.uk/.com, hotmail.co.uk/.com, msn.co.uk/.com) otherwise there may be considerable delays in your account being activated.
A good alternative to hotmail is http://gmail.com - emails to the gmail service are getting there instantly (I know I've just personally tested it). It's free, has a better interface than hotmail, and hey, worst comes to worst it's just a temporary account to sign up to the forums with.
If you have already used hotmail prior to this post and haven't gotten your activation email yet, please use the Contact Us form which will send an email to me. I'll then manually activate your account. Or you could choose to sign up again with a non-hotmail address, whichever you choose.
If this situation changes I'll make a new post.

» Competition - Phoenix Legion Coat of Arms, Forum Banner and Motto |
May 21, 2009 - 2:53 PM - by Catnip
|
OK it's about time we did this, and to coincide with our 8th Birthday (November) the IC are happy to open up a competition to all current members of the legion for our own image identity. There will be 3 categories to allow everyone to take part:- coat-of-arms see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms / logo
- forum banner (this bit at the top of this forum) with space for the coat-of-arms/logo
- motto (Latin text at the bottom of the Coat of Arms) it doesn't have to be in Latin btw

The prize....lifetime unique forum tags, guild fame and notoriety, and maybe, just maybe some RL items (eps file formats may be required for this, if we can get good prices etc)
End date: 31st July 2009
Rules: - you may enter for any or all 3 of the categories
- stick as close as possible to guild colours (Black, Crimson and Gold
)
- all graphics must be your own work and your happy to hand over copyright ownership to Phoenix Legion, you will of course be credited whenever it's used
- graphics must be high resolution (at least 300 dpi) to allow scaling and manipulation for many purposes, such as online, on t-shirts, lighters, badges etc.
- graphics must be in a raster format (eg layered .psd), and at the very least any background should be its own layer to allow for background colour changes
- Entries will initially be judged by the Inner Council to a final 3 in each category which will then be open to a forum vote
- Inner Council decision is final etc.

Submissions should be posted in the following thread, please do not post comments on others work in this thread as they will be deleted:http://www.plforums.co.uk/forums/sho...717#post148717
